Privacy statement
Last changed . This page changes when what the site stores changes.
What the site stores about you
Only if you sign in, and only this:
- The identifier your sign-in provider issues for you, and which provider it was, Google or Microsoft, so the site can tell it is you next time.
- Your first name as the provider supplies it, shown at the top of the page while you are signed in.
- Your watched marks, your notes, and your settings, such as the viewing order you chose.
What it does not store
No password: you sign in through your provider, and the site never sees one. No email address. Nothing else from your provider. Nothing about anyone who donates; that happens entirely on Buy Me a Coffee.
Cookies
Three, all needed for the site to work: one that keeps you signed in on this device until you sign out, one that remembers the viewing order you chose if you browse without signing in, and one that lasts until you close your browser and lets the site check that what you send it, a mark or a note say, came from one of its own pages. Signing in also sets short-lived cookies for the trip to your provider and back, removed when you return. No advertising, no analytics that identify you; the counting of visits, below, sets none.
How visits are counted
The site counts its visits with Google Analytics, set up to keep nothing in your browser: no cookie, and no identifier that lasts beyond the page you are on. Each page you open is counted as one view, on its own; nothing links it to the next page, to your device, or to an account. Google receives the page's address and title, the page you came from, your browser's language, type, and screen size, and your network address, which it uses for a rough location and says it does not keep. Nothing is sent about what you have watched or written. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, nothing is counted at all. Google's privacy policy covers what Google does with what it receives.
Links to other sites
Entries link to Wikipedia, Memory Alpha, and the service that streams a series, and an entry's synopsis links to the page on TVmaze it was adapted from. The donation link goes to Buy Me a Coffee. Each of those sites has its own terms and its own privacy practices; this site shows nothing from them but the synopses it credits, and tells them nothing about you.
Deleting everything
On your account page, choose Delete my account and confirm. Your account, marks, notes, and settings are removed at once. Backups age out within seven days. Signing in again afterwards starts a new, empty account.
Two providers, two accounts
Signing in with Google and then with Microsoft makes two separate accounts. Use the same provider each time.
